Job overview

We are looking to recruit two hardworking and enthusiastic Speciality Booking Co-ordinators to assist our team due to increase in demand of Obstetric and Non-obstetric Ultrasound Service

This will be a permanent position for 37.5 hours per week Monday to Saturday. 

A Standard DBS will be obtained during pre-employment checks.

This post involves contact with patients and families face to face but mainly over the telephone.

Evidence of qualifications will be requested at interview and during compliance stage.

Main duties of the job

The main aspect of the role is to provide a Trust wide Ultrasound appointments booking service.

It is a very busy role and applicants must be prepared to work Saturday and/or Sunday as part of their five day working week.

This role is part of a busy hard working team within Radiology booking Ultrasound Appointments. Full Training will be given to the successful applicant

On-Call

Please note that senior positions (AFC band 8A or above) may be expected to participate in an on-call rota, if the role is predominantly operational.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The post holders will be responsible for the management of their own workload and will be expected to develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of all modalities included within the Radiology booking services which will enable them to deal with any service related queries. This is a multi-skilled and multi-tasked role, and therefore the post holder will be expected to rotate with other staff members to cover all areas within the Radiology Speciality Booking Team on a regular basis.

Experience

  • Previous clerical experience in NHS organisation

  • Experience of working in a Radiology Department
  • Clerical experience in a similar size organisation

Qualifications

  • GCSE Standard or able to demonstrate equivalent
Desirable criteria
  • IT qualification such as ECDL
