Senior Cross Sectional Radiographer

Band 6

University Hospitals of Leicester (UHL) has a vision to deliver 'Caring at its best' and is one of the largest Trusts in the country, treating over a million patients each year.

It is based on three hospital sites and employs over 15,000 staff. With one of the largest Managed Equipment Service contracts all 3 hospitals have new and up to date imaging equipment. If you are a committed professional radiographer that shares our vision for high class patient care, then come and work within our high performing, friendly team.

We have a radiographer led MR cardiac service at the Glenfield Hospital (GH), a radiographer led CT colon service at the Leicester General Hospital (LGH) and a new Emergency Department (ED) at the Leicester Royal Infirmary (LRI) which includes two CT scanners. We are also involved in a leading forensic and post mortem CT service at the LRI, which recently received SOR team of the year in 2018.

GH has 3 MRI and 2 CT scanners with a 4th MRI planned for September 2020 which will involve new Cardiac research work. The LGH has 2 MRI and 2 CT scanners and the LRI has 3 MRI and 5 CT scanners. Staff also have the opportunity to work at the National Centre for Sports and Exercise Medicine at Loughborough University which has a state of the art, purpose built MRI unit.

It is essential that you are a good communicator, team player, enthusiastic and driven individual. Previous CT and/or MRI is essential. There is a shift system in place between the hours of 8am and 8pm and the successful candidate will be expected to participate in on-call, bank holiday and out of hours services which may necessitate cross-site working.

Unfortunately, due to the nature of the interview process for this post, we are unable to accommodate Skype interviews.
