An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Pre Assessment team at DPoW,
This post is a band 5 Pre Assessment nurse working at Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital as part of the busy pre assessment service. The successful applicant will have a particular interest in Ophthalmology.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be required to work as part of the Pre Assessment team and to undertake a range of duties to assist in the smooth running of the unit and to ensure the provision of a consistently high standard of patient care.
The successful candidate will preferably have a good knowledge of working within this setting and a particular interest in ophthalmology.
Multi-skilling will be encouraged and those wanting to broaden their range of clinical skills will be supported.

Education and Qualifications
Essential criteria
- • Registered Nurse (Level 1) – In appropriate branch
Desirable criteria
- • Diploma in Nursing
- • Management Qualification
- • Qualified mentor
- • Evidence of Post Registration development in the relevant specialty
- • Pre-assessment course/training
Occupational Experience
Desirable criteria
- • Previous pre assessment experience
- • Experience working in a nurse led environment
- • Training/experience as Clinical Supervisor
- • Minimum six months post registration experience in relevant specialty

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
