You’ll work across acute hospital clinics, community settings, and outreach locations, collaborating with a wide range of colleagues in the multidisciplinary team - from ENT consultants and nurses to GPs and community health professionals. Main duties of the job
Based in Scunthorpe or Grimsby, you’ll join a warm, supportive team delivering a full range of adult hearing care, including diagnostics, direct referral clinics, and hearing aid fitting and verification.
We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Have a BSc in Audiology (or BAAT Parts 1 & 2 pre-2006) and are registered with AHCS or HCPC, or are newly qualified and eligible to register
- Can perform diagnostic tests including tympanometry, acoustic reflexes, TEOAE, PTA, otoscopy, and video otoscopy
- Have experience in hearing aid fitting and verification (REMs) and can spot red flags requiring onward referral
- Communicate well, work well in a team, and adapt positively to change

Education and Qualifications
Essential criteria
- At least one of the following: 1. BSc Audiology 2.Baat part I & II and ONC in MPPM 3. HAC examination pass
- Registration with AHCS/HCPC or eligible to register if newly qualified
Desirable criteria
- Post qualifying clinical experience in Audiology
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Able to perform a wide range of diagnostic tests, including tympanometry, acoustic reflexes and TEOAE, PTA and otoscopy including video-otoscopy
- Able to perform hearing aid fitting with verification eg REMS
- Experience in performing hearing assessments, direct referral clinics from GPs, prescribing hearing aids, identifying red flags and the need for further investigation and onward referral
Desirable criteria
- Experience with Auditbase and Phonak hearing aids
