Job overview
Francis Willis Unit is a 15-bedded male low secure unit caring for males with a diagnosis of severe and enduring mental illness and/or personality disorder. We are looking to recruit a Band 2 Housekeeper who holds pride in providing outstanding and compassionate care towards our patients. At Francis Willis Unit we work within a multi-disciplinary team who aim to provide care for patients who have a forensic history.
We work collaboratively to uphold the trust's purpose, vision and values to enable the best quality care for our patients. An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, friendly and caring individual to join our team of three housekeepers. Shifts are 10:00- 15:00, 08:00 - 18:00, 09:00 - 14:00, 09:00 - 15:00.

Main duties of the job
To ensure a high standard of cleanliness within the unit
To ensure compliance with infection control and COSHH Policies
Ordering and stock control of cleaning materials and sundries
Preparation and serving of meals using regen ovens
To work as part of a team of 4 covering a 7-day rota working shifts between the hours of 08:00 - 18:00 hours.

Essential criteria
- Level 2 Food Safety qualification, or willingness to undertake
Desirable criteria
- Basic Health & Safety Awareness
- Chemical/CoSHH awareness
- Moving & Handling Training
Experience
Essential criteria
- Previous experience within a cleaning/housekeeping role
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience within an NHS/care environment
- Food handling/hygiene experience.
