People Transformation & Project Lead

NHS AfC: Band 8a

Job overview

At LPFT, we uphold a commitment to innovation and excellence across all aspects of our organisation. Our team fosters a dynamic and inclusive environment that enables employees to achieve their full potential. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated People Transformation Project Lead to join our workforce.

The People Transformation and Project Lead will be responsible for overseeing and directing initiatives focused on enhancing our people processes and systems. This position demands strategic acumen and proven expertise in project management, change management, and human resources.

Main duties of the job

The primary responsibilities involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure effective delivery of transformation initiatives that are aligned with the Trust’s goals and values. This includes local implementation of national People strategies by integrating Trust initiatives with broader organisational objectives and ensuring that People practices contribute to the provision of high-quality care.

Responsibilities also encompass managing change management processes to enable seamless transitions during People transformations, which involves clear communication of changes, addressing resistance, and providing thorough support to staff. The role requires fostering collaboration both within and outside the organisation, working in partnership with Heads of Service to distribute work across teams based on project requirements.

Additionally, there is an expectation to maintain compliance with employment law, equality and diversity legislation, and all relevant NHS policies and regulations. Utilising data and analytics to identify areas for improvement, track project progress, and evidence the impact of People transformation initiatives is essential.

Further duties include conducting current-state assessments, performing gap analyses, developing comprehensive project plans, and driving continuous quality improvement.
