We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated and flexible Paediatric Physiotherapist to join our Children's Integrated Therapy team to provide a service to children in Greenwich between the ages of 0-19 in our School Years Team. You will need excellent standards of time management, team working and highly developed interpersonal skills.

You will be working with children with a range of needs across schools in Greenwich, clinics, other educational settings and homes as appropriate.   In partnership with senior management you will be responsible for the supervision and clinical support for the wider team of Band 6 physiotherapists and Band 4 therapy technicians.

You will demonstrate creative thinking and will work as part of the team.  A range of Paediatric experience is required, with a focus in MSK and neuromuscular conditions. You will work closely with the other senior Physiotherapists and multi professional agencies across the borough to meet the needs of children and families as part of the Children's Integrated  therapy service. 

This post has clinical  lead responsibilities including providing specialist training to the wider team and assisting the Head Physiotherapist in compiling the training needs for the service. 

To actively participate and lead on clinical and non-clinical band 7 additional roles to support the wider paediatric physiotherapy service.

You will be part of the integrated therapy services, working collaboratively with your SLT and OT colleagues.

To perform a Highly Specialist children’s physiotherapist role in the community, to children with disabilities.

To independently manage a defined caseload of complex cases with evidence of an excellent level of problem solving, reasoning skills and judgement. 

To write detailed reports and programmes reflecting extensive highly specialist knowledge for multiple purposes. 

To provide appropriate highly specialist intervention and evaluate outcomes.

To provide highly specialist advice to others regarding the management and care of CYP with physical disabilities.

To monitor, evaluate and modify intervention using evidence based practice and outcome measures, to ensure the effectiveness of case management. 

To provide education and training for parents, carers, within education and in the implementation of activity programmes.

To demonstrate highly specialist knowledge and assessment skills around the provision of specialist equipment to improve comfort, maintain function and enable participation.

To liaise and negotiate with the wider MDT as appropriate, to facilitate effective case management.

To demonstrate a high level of clinical effectiveness by use of evidence based practice and to provide an assessment of a CYP’s physical disability using recognised standard assessment tools and expert knowledge.

To lead on departmental service innovations and initiatives, including audit/Quality improvement projects.
