Volunteer Cardiac Rehab Group Co-Facilitator

You will work closely with the Cardiac Rehabilitation Team, with the purpose of engaging, listening, and supporting individuals who are currently using our services. This role in the Cardiac Rehabilitation Team is to support the running of group exercise and education programme and to assist with National Audit of Cardiac rehabilitation (NACR) Cardiac Rehabilitation data entry.
Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd
- The applicant will work alongside another member of the Cardiac rehabilitation team to run exercise and education face to face group exercise.
- The role frequently involves the setting up and moving of chairs, small exercise equipment in preparation for and after the group classes. They will be able to assist staff members when the need arises to set up the venue.
- To participate in the induction programme in the correct use of the exercise equipment (like exercise bands) in accordance with Health and Safety Guidelines at applicable sites.
- Have awareness on reporting defective equipment and incidents to the member of staff, without delay in accordance with Trust procedures and ensure equipment is maintained in accordance with Trust policy.
- They will be able to support service users in directions within the venue, toilets, and other facilities, no personal care involved.
- To be able to motivate service users to participate in exercise and education group, through effective communication skills.
- To deal sensitively with patients who may have high levels of anxiety due to their diagnosis of heart disease.
- You will need to demonstrate excellent people skills including active listening, good written and verbal communication, and an ability to work under pressure.
- You will need to be focussed to maximise outcomes in short time frames and be able to work both independently and alongside a team.
