Job overview

The Paediatric nursing team forms part of the Integrated Children's services at Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals and is part of the Royal Free Hampstead NHS Trust. The post holder will work under the direction of the PAU/SWEC/COPD manager with responsibility for the assessment of care needs for all patients, ensuring appropriately planned care is both implemented and evaluated.

He/ she is expected to work with minimal supervision and will be designated to work as part of the nursing team at Barnet Hospital.
He/she will provide care at PAU/SWEC/COPD/Day Surgery without supervision to facilitate the prevention of admission or reduction in hospitalisation.
He/ she will act as an effective clinical support for students.

Main duties of the job

Children’s services are currently across three sites including Inpatient General Paediatrics, Ambulatory Paediatrics, Neonates and Paediatric Out Patient Departments. Individual rotations within the Children’s Services can be tailored to meet individual developmental needs. The available vacancy is for Children's Outpatients/SWEC/PAU/Day Surgery at Barnet Hospital. We welcome enthusiastic applicants with RN Child to become part of our team.
Further education is supported by the Trust offering courses/modules with our two link universities, Middlesex and Hertfordshire.
