CAMHS Clinical Team Lead for Bedford CAMHS Emotional & Behavioural Pathway (EBT3) - Band 8c

We are looking for an exceptional and experienced CAMHS Clinician who is excited to lead one of our core team, to maintain our high standards and innovate for continued improvement. We would welcome applications from senior clinicians from a core CAMHS discipline (Child Psychotherapy, Clinical Psychology, Family Therapy, Nursing or Social Workers) who are able to provide senior clinical leadership and operational management.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to shape the clinical, professional, strategic and partnership agenda of the Bedfordshire CAMH service. They will have the support of the CAMHS Senior Leadership Team.
The Bedford Borough Core CAMHS team consists of a wide range of professions including nursing, arts therapies, psychology, family therapy and psychiatry. We are dedicated to supporting the development of our workforce and ensuring that there are opportunities for training and team away days. You will be based in our clinic in Bedford which has excellent transport links and first class personal and professional development opportunities in an award-winning Trust. The Trust’s inpatient and community CAMHS services have recently been rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission.

- Current Registration with appropriate professional body e.g. ACP/ HPC / UKCP / NMC
Experience

- Experience of providing senior clinical leadership
- Experience of supervising and line managing in a multidisciplinary / multiagency context
- Experience of contributing to service developments
- Experience of representing the service a multi-agency strategic planning level groups
- Experience of partnership working with other agencies
- Experience of multiagency consultation and organising and delivering training and presentations
- Experience of performance managing staff within HR processes
- Significant post-qualification experience including substantial multidisciplinary experience of working with children, adolescents, families and groups
- Experience of working with a wide variety of client groups that reflect the full range of clinical severity
- Significant experience of risk assessment and risk management
- Experience of working with safeguarding issues and contributing to training within a safeguarding environment
- Experience of working in a multicultural environment

- Knowledge of clinical risk management systems and processes
- Up to date knowledge of NICE and other best practice guidelines
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and its implications for the CAMHS client group
- Knowledge, understanding and clinical experience with people from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds and families with a high level of deprivation, social exclusion and marginalisation
- Knowledge of current developments within CAMHS, in particular CYP IAPT
- Understanding of equality of opportunity and related policies and procedures
