We also provide some specialist services that are commissioned regionally, such as our medium secure services; and nationally, such as the Cassel Hospital for people with complex and severe personality disorder and our high secure services at Broadmoor Hospital.

A great opportunity has arisen for a Building Operative within our Capital Estates and & Facilities Broadmoor Hospital, Crowthorne.
To work a 37.5hour week, Monday to Friday shift pattern working early and late shifts, either early 0800-1630 or late 0930-1800.
We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and experienced Building Operative to become part of a large team providing an excellent service to our patients and staff.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible to ensure that they provide a comprehensive multidisciplinary domestic, portering and maintenance support service. Responsible for ensuring clean, safe and a comfortable environment is provided for patients, staff and visitors at all times.

Essential criteria
- Good general education: reading, writing, and basic numeracy skills
- Demonstrable knowledge of cleaning and COSHH procedures.
- Understanding of basic maintenance tasks (e.g., changing bulbs, batteries, etc.).
Desirable criteria
- First Aid certification
- NVQ 2 or equivalent experience in General Cleaning
- NVQ 2 or equivalent experience in Customer Service
Experience
Essential criteria
- Good knowledge of cleaning procedures
- Good understanding of Health & Safety and COSHH regulations.
- Understanding of the correct application of manual handling techniques and working at heights.
- Understanding of confidentiality requirements
- Understanding of the quality aspects of service procedure and audits.
Desirable criteria
- Understanding of PLACE audit process.
