The Bromley CAMHS LDND team comprises the treatment pathway for children and young people with neurodevelopmental disabilities (roughly equitable to an IQ below 50, and/or a diagnosis of ASD/ADHD) with co-morbid mental health difficulties including those with complex neurodevelopmental problems/severe/high risk behaviour/mental states which may otherwise require a specialist placement or inpatient setting.

The team is multi-disciplinary with 2 fulltime consultant psychiatrists, a higher  trainee as well as nursing, psychology, family therapy and psychotherapy staff. 

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

·   Provision of psychiatric care to CYP in the Bromley NDLD Team through evaluation, diagnosis and use of appropriate treatment plans/strategies for children presenting with mental health difficulties

·       High quality note keeping and adherence clinical standards on our electronic patient record, RiO

·  Contributing to decisions regarding care plans, discharges and treatment of patients in accordance with medical standards

·       Consultation to the team around psychiatric issues

·  Alongside the clinical leads and team manager ensuring patient throughput within the team

·     Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure delivery of the right treatment for each young person referred in keeping with evidence based practice and CYP IAPT framework

·  To manage, appraise and give professional supervision to junior medical staff as agreed     between consultant colleagues and the medical director and in accordance with the Trust’s personnel policies and procedures.

Swydd-ddisgrifiad a phrif gyfrifoldebau manwl

It is envisaged that the post holder will work 10 programmed activities over 5 days.  Following appointment there will be a meeting at no later than three months with the Clinical Director and team manager to review and revise the job plan and objectives of the post holder.

The overall split of the programmed activities is 7.5 PAs to be devoted to direct clinical care and 2.5 PAs to supporting professional activities (as per the Royal College of Psychiatrists recommendation). The timetable is indicative only.  A formal job plan will be agreed between the post holder and clinical director three months after commencing the post and at least annually thereafter.
