Clinical Coding & Data Quality Supervisor

Band 6, Full Time, Permanent

Clinical Coding & Data Quality (DQ) Services is looking for an experienced Clinical Coding & Data Quality Supervisors with 20% Recruitment and Retention Premium (RRP) to join our friendly department at Croydon University Hospital, Croydon.

The successful candidate should be a good team player with excellent communication skills and good leadership & management skills. You will have experience of coding across all specialities with National Clinical Coding Qualification (NCCQ) with proven experience of liaising with Consultants/Clinicians with regards to coding queries and clinical documentations.

You will be required to be consistent and accurate in working to recognised coding methods and to meet deadlines of agreed time scales. This is a vital role in which you will support the Trust business requirements and effective patient care. As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing Clinical Coding and Data Quality team staffs.

Main duties of the job

The Post holder will work closely with Data Quality Officers to provide data quality & correction support and highlight to all the Trust stakeholders of all the data quality issues raised specially by the Clinical Coding team to improve overall Data Quality. You will also be assisting the Clinical Coding Audit Manager and fellow Supervisors in dealing with the queries on Outpatient Coding and OP coding process.

In return for your hard work, we offer you support for your personal development and training needs and provide you with flexible working hours.

These posts attract RRP until 31st March 2028 and subject to approval on a yearly basis after that.

Purley War Memorial Hospital (PWMH) in the south of the borough offers outpatient care, including diagnostic services, physiotherapy and ophthalmology services run by Moorfields Eye Hospital, alongside an onsite GP surgery.
