Administrative Assistant, Single Point of Assessment 

30hrs per week Band 3

The service is open 08.00 to 20.00 Monday to Sunday so the successful candidate will be expected to work shift work working one weekend in four.
The post holder will provide day to day co-ordination and administrative support in the Single Point of Assessment Service to enable hospital avoidance and expedite the transfer of care for patients from hospital to home. The service will respond within predetermined response times as assessed in the Single Point of Assessment: rapid response within 2 hours, urgent within 4 hours and routine within 48 hours. You will act as a focal point for communication between the nursing staff, patients, hospitals, GPs, specialist nurses, allied health professionals, social services and other multidisciplinary teams referring into the service.
The successful applicant must be flexible with good interpersonal and administrative skills and good attention to detail and be able to communicate effectively. The ability to work flexibly and to prioritize work will be essential.
