Chef is responsible for all elements of cooking, & cleaning within the kitchen and pot wash area. The maintenance of high standards in food quality & presentation, Special Patient Diets, General cleanliness and hygiene within Kitchen, Diet Bay & Pot wash areas.
He/she would be expected to play an active part in the service delivery of all aspects of Kitchen catering services for both retail units by supporting and assisting the Kitchen Supervisor as directed, as well as within Patient Services and dietetics to enhance the Customer & Patient Mealtime experience.
Working Monday to Friday with weekend working on a rota basis.

The catering service employs in excess of 100 directly employed staff, produces in excess of 10,000 meals a week and an annual budget of in excess of £2M.
The role will include working with all levels of clinical and non-clinical staff across all Trust sites as well as working closely with customers of the services, key stakeholders and external agencies such as Environmental Health/Trading Standards Officers from Croydon Council.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
