Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist - AAC

Full Time, 12 Months Fixed Term, Band 7 

At a highly specialist level, to assess, diagnose, treat and discharge children/young people referred with speech, language, communication and eating & drinking problems 

To work as a member of the Early Years, Primary and Secondary Teams to provide an efficient, effective and co-ordinated Speech and Language Therapy Service;

To take a lead role in a special school designated for primary and secondary aged children whose primary needs are physical, sensory and/or medical.  This will involve EDD and AAC work and the successful therapist will be leading the SLT team within the school.

To provide highly specialist assessment, clinical diagnosis, treatment and management of dysphagia, eating and drinking, and complex communication needs in children within the community
