Job overview
Rehab Assistant
Band 3
The post holder will work as a member of the therapy team predominantly on the Stroke unit, as part of the wider Integrated Neurotherapy team, working with adults who have had a stroke and often have complex needs.
The post holder will provide support to the Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and speech and language therapists. They will undertake duties as allocated to them by a professionally registered member of the Therapy staff.

Main duties of the job
To carry own caseload of patients, as delegated by the Therapists.
To deliver the therapy programme, as prescribed by the Therapists, taking into account changes in the patients’ health and social needs and feedback to the Responsible Therapist.
To conduct environmental visits to patients’ homes and accurately record and report back findings the therapists
To request, deliver and demonstrate use of equipment/patient appliances as necessary
