Orthotics Administrator

Band 2

The orthotics administrator is part of a small team and often the first point of contact for patients and services users.

You will be required to communicate in a professional and courteous manner at all times and provide a comprehensive administrative service within orthotics providing an in-depth knowledge of the outpatient scheduling system and providing a full range of administrative and clerical support to the other members of the team as required. 

Promoting good customer care and liaising effectively with GPs, patients and their carers, hospital staff and all relevant outside agencies.

 

Main duties of the job

You will provide a comprehensive administrative service within orthotics providing an in-depth knowledge of the outpatient scheduling system and providing a full range of administrative and clerical support to the other members of the team as required.  Promoting good customer care and liaising effectively with GPs, patients and their carers, hospital staff and all relevant outside agencies.

The orthotics administrator will liaise closely with the orthotist and ensure patients receive timely and appropriate appointments.

The orthotics administrator will play a key role in ensuring the efficient delivery of services. Tasks will include, registering new patients, making appointments and sending out letters, making sure the patient data is accurate and that all fields completed. The ordering, receiving and receipting of goods and making ready the clinics for the orthotist
