Job overview

As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for the provision of exceptional
professional pharmacy services. The focus of your role will be to act as
Responsible Pharmacist, provide support to the Senior Pharmacist, the rest of the pharmacy team and support the development of the business. You will
help in ensuring a high quality patient and customer experience is maintained

Main duties of the job

We are looking for dynamic, enthusiastic and forward thinking pharmacists to join our Outpatient Pharmacy team. You will need to be organised and well-motivated and have excellent communication and people skills, as well as the ability to adapt quickly to new situations. If you are looking for a challenging role in which to develop your skills and knowledge then this post will provide an excellent opportunity for you, while providing you with the all of the support and training that you need, including the opportunity to study for an appropriate post graduate qualification.

Education & Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Registered with the GPhC with no adverse Fitness to Practice record
  • Masters degree or equivalent in pharmacy

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Completion of preregistration training year
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of leading a pharmacy or a team
  • Experience of using JAC pharmacy computer system
  • Experience of acting as Responsible Pharmacist in a Dispensary
  • Experience of using prescription tracking systems
  • Experience of working in an automated dispensary environment
  • Experience of working in a hospital pharmacy
  • Accredited for locally commissioned enhanced services, e.g. EHC, Minor Ailments, health checks and running extended services

Skills and aptitudes

Essential criteria
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong communication skills – must be able to recognize and overcome barriers to understanding e.g. language, deaf, learning difficulties
  • Strong ability to multi -task, prioritise plan and organize
  • Demonstratble commitment to CPD and a member of the GPhC
  • Fluent written and spoken English including good numeracy
  • Clean DBS or able to pass one when required
