Temporary Staffing Recruitment Coordinator

Job overview

The Senior Recruitment Coordinator will work as part of the Temporary
Staffing Recruitment team, providing a high level of support and
assistance in ensuring key activities are undertaken in an efficient and
effective manner.

The postholder will be responsible for overseeing and
undertaking all aspects of the recruitment service, from appropriate
approvals up to appointment.

The postholder will be expected to maintain efficient administration in these processes and ensure accurate recording of all data.

They will offer a customer-based approach at all times, liaising with all clinical areas, Temporary Staffing registrants and where necessary, external agencies.

The postholder will be expected to provide support and training to
colleagues within the Temporary staffing team, under the direction of the Temporary Staffing Operations Manager.

Main duties of the job

Key duties

To administer all aspects of the recruitment process and ensure that all documentation is of a high and consistent quality.
2. To ensure that all necessary pre-employment checks are undertaken and documented, to NHS Employers standards including ID/Occupational Health/DBS/certificate of sponsorships/professional
qualifications.

3. To ensure all job files are accurately maintained and kept up to date, with particular attention paid to the recruitment checklist (which must always be up to date and fully completed).
4. To maintain all personal files, including all relevant and necessary information in order for the annual audit to be successfully carried out.
5. To ensure that new registrants’ details are accurately submitted to the Group’s Payroll service.
6. To ensure that external adverts, where required, are placed in relevant publications in a timely manner ensuring deadlines are met.
7. To deal with all processes associated with offer letters, obtaining references and issuing terms of registration. Ensuring signed terms of registration are appropriately collated and stored, with all necessary pre-employment checks completed and details held.
8. To input all new starter information on the Electronic Staff Record (ESR) meeting monthly deadlines and ensuring high levels of accuracy.

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Extensive experience in an administrative role
  • Experience of working in a customer focussed first line support role
  • Experience of working in a large and complex organisational environment, either in the public, private or voluntary sector
  • Experience of being able to balance competing priorities and achieving organisational targets
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working for an NHS Group
  • Experience of working in a Temporary Staffing team

Qualifications and Training

Essential criteria
  • Educated to A Level or equivalent knowledge gained through experience
  • Evidence of equivalent relevant professional work experience and continuing professional development
Desirable criteria
  • NVQ or equivalent qualification

Knowledge and Skills

Essential criteria
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel to an intermediate level and manipulate data sets into a presentable format
  • Effective customer care skills
  • Good organisational skills, including the ability to deliver work to tight deadlines whilst under pressure
  • Ability to effectively communicate clearly both verbally and in writing, to all levels of staff
  • Ability to deal assertively with difficult situations
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and accurately complete tasks
