Job overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Pharmacist who will support the Lead Pharmacy Information Officer on the implementation and operational delivery of digital pharmacy systems, including Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (EPMA), across the Trust.
The postholder should possess strong clinical knowledge, knowledge about clinical pathways and guidance as well as promoting patient safety. Main duties of the job
The post holder will assist in implementing and maintaining digital pharmacy systems while supporting staff training, governance, and system optimisation. This role plays a key part in ensuring patient safety, service efficiency, and compliance with Trust policies.

Education/Qualification
Essential criteria
- BTEC/ NVQ level 3 certificates or Vocational Masters
- GPhC Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist
- Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD)
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of post-qualification UK ward based hospital/community health practice in dispensing and medicines optimisation
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience in electronic prescribing and medicines administration systems (e.g., EPMA).
- Experience in delivering training and supporting digital pharmacy systems.
- Experience of medication history taking and medicines reconciliation processes
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience of audit and / or research
- Experience of developing training packages / educational plan
Skills & Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Strong knowledge of clinical pharmacy and medication safety protocols.
- Ability to maintain and build digital pharmacy systems, including user account and drug file management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with staff and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in audit and data management to support continuous improvement.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Desirable criteria
- Ability to manage and resolve technical issues within pharmacy IT systems.
- Experience in supporting system upgrades and improvements.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
