Main duties of the job
The successful candidate would join our fantastic team of Neuro Specialist Nurses at the Royal Free Hospital.
The successful candidate will be expected:
- To be the key worker for Epilepsy patients. Act as their advocate whilst co-ordinating their care pathway from assessment through to discharge/ diagnosis and referral.
- To provide holistic care and support through counselling, educating, advising and supporting emotional needs.
- Co-ordinate health promotion both internally and externally.
- To have a leading role in service improvement and development.
A successful candidate is required to be able demonstrate the Trust values, the responsibilities of the job description and person specification. A successful candidate should have proven experience of working:
- In a clinical background, with experience and knowledge of treating Epilepsy clients.
- A first level degree or working towards this.
Counselling skills, training and experience.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to prioritise work independently within a team.
- Leadership experience.
