Job overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Digital Trainer to join our Digital Transformation Team. This role plays a critical part in the successful rollout and ongoing optimisation of the Rio Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system and other clinical and non-clinical digital tools across the organisation.
You will design, deliver, and evaluate training programmes to ensure our workforce is confident, competent, and empowered to use digital systems effectively, safely, and in alignment with clinical workflows.
Main duties of the job

Develop and deliver structured training for Rio EPR and associated digital systems (e.g. clinical documentation, referrals, dashboards, patient pathways).

Provide face-to-face, remote, and e-learning sessions to diverse user groups, including clinicians, administrative staff, and new starters.

Create and maintain user-friendly training materials, guides, and quick reference tools.

Collaborate with system leads, clinical champions, and the IM&T team to understand training needs and tailor content accordingly.

Support new system implementations and upgrades by preparing and delivering go-live training and floorwalking support.

Evaluate training effectiveness and capture user feedback to continuously improve content and delivery.

Act as a digital ambassador, supporting digital maturity across the Trust and promoting adoption of best practice.

In order to meet the needs of the Trust you may be required from time to time to work at different locations to your normal place of work. Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Essential:

Experience in delivering system training within a healthcare, public sector, or large organisational setting.

Strong understanding of Electronic Patient Record systems – ideally Rio.

Excellent presentation and communication skills.

Ability to simplify technical information for non-technical audiences.
-
Strong interpersonal and engagement skills – able to build relationships and inspire confidence.
-
Comfortable working in clinical environments and engaging with a wide range of users.
Desirable:
-
NHS experience, especially in mental health or community settings.
-
Experience with e-learning tools (e.g. Articulate, Moodle).
-
Knowledge of project and change management principles (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile).
