Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced paediatric Nurse, with excellent planning and organisational skills; to join the Research Team at The London North West University  Healthcare Trust (LNWUH).

The LNWUH is a research active Trust. The research teams and R&D are committed to improving healthcare services by promoting and supporting a wide range of high quality research.
The post holder will play a key role in the running of clinical trials. The post holder will provide support to the team of Research Nurses/coordinators to NIHR  Portfolio-Adopted research studies within LNWH and ensure they are undertaken within the ICH Good Clinical Practice guidelines.

Main duties of the job

Previous research experience at Band 6 will be desirable but not necessary for this post. This post offers excellent opportunities in gaining Research and  managerial experience with flexible working hours and the opportunity to maintain your clinical skills. 

The post will be based at Northwick Park Hospital. The LNWUH  Trust comprises Northwick Park & St Mark’s Hospitals in Harrow, Central Middlesex Hospital in Park Royal and Ealing Hospital.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Duties will include the following;

To undertake any duties as instructed by the Team Leader or Service Manager in order to ensure the smooth running of the department

This includes covering for colleagues in times of sickness/absence and high workload and being familiar with other speciality tasks within the support team- appropriate to job grading level.

To project a good public relations image for the service in dealing with patients, staff and the general public.
