An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Hillingdon Hospitals Specialist Neurological Rehabilitation Team on the Alderbourne Rehabilitation Unit.
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about working within the area of Neurological Rehabilitation. The Alderbourne Rehabilitation Unit is a 20 bedded facility that has provided level 2 specialist Neuro Rehabilitation over many years and has now gained a new opportunity to work in partnership with Imperial NHS Trust to provide 8 level 1 rapid access acute rehabilitation services (RAAR) beds within their current service. The 8 beds will be provided over 2 sites, Hillingdon Hospital and Charing Cross.
The successful applicant will work within the current neuro rehabilitation team on ARU working across both level 1 and level 2 neuro rehabilitation beds on the Alderbourne Rehabilitation Unit.

Main duties of the job
Job summary
1. The healthcare assistant / support worker will Provide patient centred, compassionate care at all times and advocate for the patient.
2. The healthcare assistant / support worker is a member of the team that delivers clinical care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Tasks are delegated by the registered nurse.
3. The post holder is responsible for ensuring that patients are cared for in a safe environment and that privacy and dignity is maintained at all times.
4. The post holder will provide direct care and provide verbal and written reports.
5. To actively seek the views of patients / carers on their understanding of their care needs and develop a relationship to ensure the patients experience is positive.
6. The Healthcare Assistant is required to successfully complete all 15 standards within the Induction Care Certificate and associated workbook within the set timeframe of 4 weeks (maximum 12 weeks).
