Rotational Physiotherapist
Band 5
West London NHS Trust provides a full range of mental health, community and physical healthcare services for children, adults and older people living in the London boroughs of Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham and Hounslow.
We also provide some specialist services that are commissioned regionally, such as our medium secure services; and nationally, such as the Cassel Hospital for people with complex and severe personality disorder and our high secure services at Broadmoor Hospital.

We are looking for a motivated and flexible occupational therapist to join an exciting cross trust community rotation in Hounslow covering community rehabilitation , home first, rapid response, neuro , falls, and MSK services.
This is an ideal opportunity for new graduates, those who are qualifying in the next 3 months or current Band 5 physiotherapist looking to build on their experience within a supportive, friendly environment. It will give you an excellent feel for how modern health care is delivered in different settings across the Borough of Hounslow.
Band 5 Rotational Physiotherapists receive regular supervision with senior clinicians, monthly band 5 Preceptorship meetings , monthly physio meeting and rotation specific training as part of the band 5 competency program
Main duties of the job
Rotations include: MSK, Community Recovery Service-Reablement/Rehabilitation, Integrated Community Response Team, Falls, Hounslow Community Neuro Team, and Discharge hub Home First. In future there will be additional rotations in mental health setting.
Each rotation is for 6 months however the post holder may be required to rotate at an earlier or later date depending on service need.
To manage own caseload, assess plan and implement and evaluate interventions using evidence based/best practice, working towards patient centred goals in the context of the speciality and as part of the multi-disciplinary team.

Essential criteria
- Diploma/Degree in physiotherapy or other relevant physiotherapy qualification
- Current HPC registration
- Have an understanding of the concepts of clinical governance and their implications for clinical effectiveness/best practice
Desirable criteria
- Understanding of group/team dynamics
Experience

- Relevant pre-registration physiotherapy experience to include all core rotations
Knowledge and Skills
Essential criteria
- Ability to present information, either written as per CSP standards or orally, in a clear and logical manner
- To work as an autonomous practitioner and have the ability to manage time, prioritise and delegate work
- Commitment to own self development and learning, demonstrate by CPD portfolio
- Ability to comprehend and work within the Trust’s policies of data protection, equal opportunities and health and safety and meet the differing needs of the patients
