Administration Officer

Band 3

West London NHS Trust  provides a full range of mental health, community  and physical healthcare services for children, adults and older people living in the London boroughs of Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham and Hounslow.

We also provide some specialist services that are commissioned regionally, such as our medium secure services; and nationally, such as the Cassel Hospital for people with complex and severe personality disorder and our high secure services at Broadmoor Hospital.

Job overview

We are offering a part time ( 22.5 hours a week) role to join our admin team, based in Hounslow.

You will support our busy clinicians to deliver specialist podiatry services including diabetes foot clinics and home visits across the London Borough of Hounslow. The population we serve is vibrant and multicultural, with a high incidence of diabetes.

You will provide excellent customer and administration services to ensure an efficient referral and appointment system via an electronic patient record. This includes liaising with patients mostly via telephone; and providing general administrative support to clinicians to enable them to deliver their clinical role safely and effectively.

Main duties of the job

You will need experience in customer service, and working in an administrative environment with computerised clinical data systems

You will work autonomously as well as alongside others, so you need to be flexible, well organised and great at teamworking. You will also need to manage your time well, multi-task, and remain calm under pressure.

Your excellent interpersonal and communication skills will be needed to interact with our diverse patient population and with various other health care teams and stakeholders.
