Job overview
The Senior Digital Health Systems Analyst provides advanced application support, configuration and problem‑solving for systems such as Oracle Cerner, SystemOne and the Patient Portal. The role investigates and resolves complex issues, manages system changes, maintains configuration records and mentors junior analysts to build team capability. Acting as both a technical specialist and business analyst, the postholder works with clinical and operational teams to translate requirements into safe, effective digital solutions while contributing to governance, service improvement and quality management processes.
Main duties of the job
The Senior Digital Health Systems Analyst works as a part of the Digital Health Systems Team within Digital Health systems department and is responsible for delivering local clinical system administration and support
functions for a number of Trust-wide applications including Oracle, SystemOne, Patient Portal.
The post holder will have a broad range of responsibilities for ensuring supported applications are configured for the current clinical service being provided by the Trust and that any issues reported by end users are
investigated and resolved efficiently and professionally. The postholder will also be expected to act as a business analyst where required, supporting the identification of user needs, process mapping, and the
translation of requirements into digital solutions.
The post holder will be expected to gain an excellent understanding of all applications and work with the team to maintain and promote a comprehensive and working knowledge base to avoid single points of
failure and provide a robust service. The role includes mentoring junior analysts and collaborating with senior colleagues to ensure system reliability and user satisfaction.

Applicant requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
