Job overview

Band 8a Advanced Practice Pelvic Health Physiotherapist (ACP), or Band 7 Pelvic Health Physio looking to become a qualified ACP in Pelvic Health (banding dependent on experience & qualifications)

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated pelvic health physio to join our dynamic Urogynaecology MDT team. We are very excited to be advertising this newly created role to lead and support the existing pelvic health service across acute and community settings within Kingston and Richmond NHS Foundation Trust. Closely collaborating with our Urogynaecology Consultants, Nurse Specialists, pelvic health physiotherapy team, midwives and community bladder and bowel teams, the post holder will play a significant role in developing the pelvic health service. Working within the framework of advanced clinical practice you will provide a high level of clinical expertise, supervision for the wider pelvic health physio team, leadership and education.

Main duties of the job

You will have excellent interpersonal skills, an up to date knowledge base and the ability to work independently. We would love to hear from you if you are either a Band 8a Pelvic Health Physio or Band 7 looking to develop as an ACP. Training will be fully supported in accordance with the Multi-Professional Framework for Advanced Clinical Practice. The role will incredibly fulfilling with the opportunity to be part of developing a new integrated service across the acute and community.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Completed OR currently studying on an Advanced Clinical Practice Master’s degree OR In the process of gaining recognition with the Centre of Advancing Practice via the e-Portfolio (Supported) Route, OR willing to commence this route in order to demonstrate educational equivalence that all the capabilities of advanced level practice at master’s level (level 7) have been met.
  • Specialist-specific professional qualification commensurate with role plus postgraduate specialist training, experience, short courses to Master’s equivalent level.
  • Evidence of Continuous Professional Development (Pelvic Health Related)
Desirable criteria
  • Non-medical prescribing qualification.

  • Ability to assessment a treat a wide range of pelvic floor dysfunction symptoms including complex presentations

  • Advanced assessment and diagnostic skills
