An opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Deputy Reception Administration Manager to join our busy Emergency Department, based at Whipps Cross Hospital. The postholder will assist in being responsible for the day to day provision of an effective and efficient 24/7 Reception function for the Emergency Department service. This role will also provide an administration service to the Operational Team.
Ideally, the postholder will have previous staff management experience, including the ability to assist in dealing with all HR issues for a team of 20 WTE receptionists.
The postholder will also have strong IT skills and extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, as well as excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
This role requires a flexible approach, the able to work autonomously, as well as part of team. You must be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, whilst prioritising workloads.
Hours will be full time (37.5 hrs) on a 7-day rotation across 365 days per year, this will include Bank Holidays and weekends which will be on a shift pattern of Early / Late shifts start times.

- Understanding of Information Governance and GDPR processes as relevant to national clinical audits and research in the NHS
