We have a focus group that provides all new staff with an allocated buddy for ongoing support for your first year on the ward. Here on acorn ward, we champion diversity and inclusion, where you can be yourself and where all staff is treated fairly.   


Acorn paediatric ward is a 24-bed acute medical facility, providing the highest quality care to patients 0-16 years old. We work in conjunction with other members of the multidisciplinary team for effective outcomes for all our service users. 


We ensure that our trust values are embedded in our day-to-day work. 

Main duties of the job

To provide effective care to patients 0-16 years old within a paediatric acute inpatient ward. Ensuring the delivery of the highest standard of individualised care is given to children and their families in conjunction with the interdisciplinary team. The post holder will ensure that they maintain professionalism at all times and that cer is provided utilising our WeCare values.
