Are you looking for a career in Pharmacy?

We are looking for enthusiastic, ambitious and motivated individuals who are keen to develop their skills to become a registered Pharmacy Technician.

Bart's Health NHS Trust offer a two year Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician apprenticeship programme. This involves practical work based learning as well as gaining underpinning knowledge. Support will be provided for development and training.

After successfully completing the two year course you will be eligible to register as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council.

Candidates must have a minimum of 4 GCSEs or equivalent at Grade C/Level 4 or above and must include Maths, English Language and Science (Double Science award or two individual Sciences e.g. biology, chemistry, physics). Certificates will need to be provided prior to interview stage in order to be verified.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will rotate through various areas of Pharmacy including Dispensary, Lloyd’s Outpatient Pharmacy, Medicines Management and Medicines Distribution and Technical services.

Essential criteria
  • 4 GCSE’s including Maths, English language and Double Science at grade C/4-9 or above or equivalent

  • NVQ Level 2 – Pharmacy Services skills and relevant experience
