We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our CNS team. We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced renal nurse. This post is a 12-month part time fixed term or secondment to cover 18.5 hours per week. This is an opportunity for anyone with a passion for renal transplantation and looking for flexible working.
The Renal Transplant team sees, acute and long-term transplant patients, donors and pre-transplant patients for their assessments and reviews. The post holder will be working as part of the pre transplant team.
The post holder will take an active role in preparing and leading on the pre transplant MDTs
Main duties of the job
To co-ordinate the assessment of patients prior to transplantation. To promote and enable safe, specialised, expert management and care and act as a key accessible professional along the entire patient journey

- Mentorship Course (or equivalent)
- Masters level qualification (or working towards)

- Post registration experience and demonstrable skills within a renal transplant out-patient setting
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Knowledge of current and emerging strategy and policy related to renal transplantation
- Aware of how to identify and reduce risks with regards to health and wellbeing
- Knowledge of infection prevention and control measures in an out-patient setting

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
