Are you looking for an exciting role in Pharmacy Technical Services?
We have the opportunity to offer an enthusiastic and motivated Pharmacy Technician or Registered Science Graduate the chance to develop their career in aseptic services working within our growing Chemotherapy production unit. This role will provide a varied experience which will allow you to develop and reach the next stage of your career.
This post aims to provide training and experience in a wide range of activities including aseptic compounding, staff supervision, education and training, workload scheduling and quality management. You will be involved in operational and technical projects in support of quality improvement, operational efficiency, and cost reduction programs. 
You will also be an accredited checker for a variety of in-process checks.
You will be joining our dynamic and supportive team of pharmacists and technicians at an exciting and challenging time in developing a first-class aseptic service. Full training will be provided with opportunities actively encouraged to develop your technical knowledge.

Main duties of the job

This post is based within the Chemotherapy Services Unit (CSU) which is part of the wider Pharmacy Technical Services team. This role, in conjunction with other members of the team, ensures that a safe and effective chemotherapy production service is provided to our end users ensuring that our patients are treated whilst we meet our regulatory requirements.

Essential criteria
  • BTEC level 3 Diploma in Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians / NVQL3
  • Science Manufacturing Technician (SMT) Level 3
  • Registration with General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Registration with the Science Council as a Registered Science Technician

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Relevant experience of working as a Pharmacy Technician or Senior Assistant Technical Officer
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working within a GMP / aseptic facility
