An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced project manager to join the Transformation team to deliver key projects within the CLCH’s Outer Northwest division change portfolio.

By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging and innovative projects focusing on improving patient care, delivering change and efficiencies throughout the Division (including linking with trust and system wide projects)

Main duties of the job

You will work as part of the Division Transformation team to ensure processes and standards are embedded across the portfolio.

This post is a key part of the team responsible for leading and managing delivery of a number of programmes in the Division and contributing to the Trust transformation projects.

The post holder will be responsible for the planning, delivery, reporting and effective management of a number of projects within the Division and supporting divisional aspect of Trust transformation projects".

This position has an immediate start date (or as negotiated) as a fixed term contract or secondment.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

  • Managing and leading specific projects within the Improvement and Transformation Directorate, which includes developing and managing project/programmes plans, reporting progress and undertaking risk and issue management to ensure effective and timely delivery.
  • Managing and contributing to the reporting of progress/under performance of projects and programmes.
  • Working directly with operational leads and relevant stakeholders to deliver specified projects.
  • Support divisions in developing robust QIPP schemes.

Essential criteria
  • Educated to degree level in relevant vocation
  • Project Management Qualification
  • Evidence of continuous personal professional development.
Desirable criteria
  • PRINCE 2 / Managing Successful Programmes Practitioner

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Extensive experience within a management role within a customer focused organisation
  • Substantial experience of successfully managing complex projects within a programme management system including evidence of change management within timeframes and in budget
  • Extensive experience of working in a multi-agency partnership
  • Experience of writing concise and effective reports and project documentation
  • Experienced team leader
Desirable criteria
  • Experience working within an NHS environment
  • An understanding of national and local NHS policy
  • Experience working with community or voluntary groups

Skills and Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Knowledge of running a range of projects in a complex changing people focused organisation from design stage until completion
  • Experience of engaging with multi-disciplinary teams in achieving successful outcomes
  • Knowledge and experience of governance and assurance in an NHS setting either directly or by working in partnership with the NHS
  • Evidence of using negotiating and influencing skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working partnerships with professional groups and senior managers within the organisation and in other agencies.
