We are looking for a dynamic and compassionate experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse with proven leadership and clinical expertise to lead the National Tier 4 inpatient CAMHS service, Collingham Child & Family Centre in Central London, provides in-patient care for children aged 6 and 13 with complex mental health needs
This is a unique opportunity to join a passionate, multidisciplinary team, committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment where young people and their families are at the heart of everything we do. The Matron, will be the clinical and operational lead for nursing, support staff and clerical/administrative staff & will work closely with the Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, Therapy Lead, and senior management to provide leadership to the multi-disciplinary Team to drive outcome focused goals that delivers sustainable transformation, aligned to the National, Trust, Nursing, Workforce and Quality/Safety strategies.
Visible nursing leadership is critical for driving service improvement and you will be required to work Monday-Friday 9am-5pm with potential for some flexibility at times based on the needs of the service.

The main responsibility of the post is to manage the ward manager, nursing staff and clerical/ administrative staff together with those who support care delivery.
As Matron, you will be working closely with our Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, Therapy Lead, and senior management to provide leadership to the multi-disciplinary Team and ensure the provision of high-quality, evidence based care in accordance with the CAMHS operational plan, relevant national policies, legislations and to meet the requirements specified by the NHSE service specification. The matron will be responsible for developing and reviewing the functions structure and operational protocols of the unit to best meet the mental health needs of the young persons and families using our services.
The matron will take responsibility for raising professional standards, leadership/management and continual development of the nursing team in ensuring the delivery of high quality evidence based nursing assessment, care planning, record keeping and intervention for the young persons and families using our services.

- Extensive operational experience in a clinical setting at senior Level
