Job overview
The CREHST Program (Certificate of Readiness to Enter Higher Surgical Training) has been devised in order to provide trust grade junior clinical fellows a structured training experience culminating in CREHST sign-off (providing requirements are met), allowing application to higher surgical training.
9 roles across 3 themed programs are available as follows. This advert relates to 3 roles that sit in the Plastic Surgery 'theme', as per the below.
The aim is to furnish trainees with broad surgical exposure, whilst allowing focussed development in their chosen speciality, in order to maximise the chances at ST3+ application.

Main duties of the job
Management of inpatients
- Management of acute presentations during participation in on-call work
- Regular attendance in theatre in order to meet surgical training targets
- Regular attendance in clinic in order to develop knowledge base
- Participation in monthly teaching
- Completion of (ideally) multiple quality improvement/audit projects
- Publication of 1 research paper
- Minimum 1x poster/podium
- Completion of MRCS Part A and Part B during the program
- Fastidious approach to allocated leadership role (e.g audit, rota, teaching coordinator)

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
- Full registration with the GMC
- MRCS part A or equivalent
- Post-graduate qualification
- Other specific attainments
Experience

- Evidence of achievement of Foundation competencies from a UKFPO affiliated Foundation programme or equivalent by time of appointment in line with GMC standards/Good Medical Practice including
Skills and Knowledge

- ▪ Have undertaken undergraduate medical training in English
- ▪ Have the following scores in the academic International English Language Testing System (ILTETS). Overall 7; Speaking 7; Listening 6; Reading 6; Writing 6.
