Job overview

The post holder is responsible for coordination and administration of learning & development courses. The role involves the organization and management of course booking and communication processes, ensuring that access to relevant learning and development opportunities. This includes the promotion of courses with low bookings and regular monitoring and reporting of course availability.

The post holder will support the Learning & Development Advisor with the facilitation of course sessions, as well as compiling regular training evaluation reports to share with training providers.

The post holder will ensure that effective administrative systems are maintained to support the team.

Staff must work within the People & Culture Hub and Service Team model to ensure timely, accurate, and professional support. Including

·       Providing first-line advice within role scope

·       Adopting flexible cross-team working to manage demand

 

 

Main duties of the job

1.     Be responsible for the end-to-end administration for Learning & Development courses and events; as well as support with delivery and facilitation

2.     Create and oversee communication and project management plans, including the design of promotional resources to support projects and initiatives

3.     Maintain accurate data input and perform data analysis to support the L&D team with informing trends, gaps and areas for improvement in existing processes.

4.     Ensure effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, managers, and colleagues.

5.     Work independently within defined policies and procedures, referring to the manager where necessary.

6.     Participate in operational reviews, audits, and the ongoing improvement of systems and processes.

7.     Act in a professional manner always, ensuring effective communication across all levels of the Trust.

Essential criteria
  • Educated to A-Level of equivalent
  • Willingness to work towards a qualification that supports a Learning & Development career
Desirable criteria
  • Qualification in relevant field or equivalent experience

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience using HR systems to record and extract data
  • Working with large data sets and performing data analysis
  • Creating promotional resources and using design programmes (e.g. Canva)
  • Planning and coordinating training courses and events
  • Confident public speaking and supporting event facilitation
Desirable criteria
  • Working with Learning Management Systems
  • Shortlisting and recruitment processes

Knowledge & Skills

Essential criteria
  • Knowledge of the Learning & Development profession and its purpose
  • Ability and willingness to facilitate group discussion and activities
  • Proven record of using initiative and a proactive approach to work
