North Thames Genomic Medicine Service Alliance Coordinator

Job overview
We’re seeking an experienced coordinator to join us in the North Thames Genomic Medicine Service Alliance (NT GMSA). The NT GMSA, hosted by Great Ormond Street Hospital, is one of seven regional alliances working with healthcare professionals, patients, the public to enable the NHS in England to be the first health service in the world to integrate genomic testing into care.
We are seeking to appoint a NT GMSA Coordinator to support our multidisciplinary team by providing a professional and high quality administrative support to our cross-speciality team as they work to educate and train NHS staff.
The role involves managing the administrative function of the team including diary management, taking minutes, supporting the co-ordinating of education and engagement events, managing and escalating queries as they arise, and helping to maintain our online workspace.
Main duties of the job
The desired candidate will have previous experience of administration and or customer service, and experience of working with clinical and non-clinical staff in a healthcare setting would be advantageous.
Excellent communication and organisation skills are required for the post holder to provide support and coordination across a team working from different NHS Trusts, utilising their problem-solving skills, ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and simultaneously working as an effective team player across the GMSA.

Applicant requirements
The postholder will have regular contact with vulnerable people and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
