Network Manager Congenital Heart Disease (Adult & Paediatric)

The North Thames Paediatric Network (NTPN) has an exciting new post of a Network Manager at Band 8A (0.6 WTE) to join and manage the One Heart Congenital Heart Disease Network, an exemplary Network with a regional and national footprint, assisting Congenital Heart Disease service providers and the wider healthcare system with ensuring services for patients and their families/carers is of the highest quality and equitable delivery. The role involves senior level exposure across the system. It is a high-profile role within both the Trust, London region and within NHS England nationally. The post holder will work closely with the One Heart CHD Network Clinical Director, Lead Nurse and Chair. The postholder will be expected to represent the network within local, regional and national forums and participate in sharing and contributing to best practice.

This role is furthered by a dual function in assisting the over-arching NTPN with delivering other projects/workstreams as requested, so a candidate who is an expert multi tasker and enthused collaborator is key.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

•    Be responsible for the day to day efficient and effective operational management of the One Heart CHD network, reporting to the One Heart CHD Clinical Director, One Heart CHD Lead Nurse and the NTPN Network Director in all matters affecting the delivery of core services.  
•    Help clinical teams within the One Heart CHD Network to respond to operational issues on a day-to-day basis and ensure issues are swiftly resolved and implementing longer term solutions to issues raised, when required. These will range from basis administration issues to more complex approaches requiring the support and agreement of large teams of people and management of projects that deliver change.  
•    Contribute to the development of strategic direction and annual business planning of the network (overall responsibility for setting and approval of the annual One Heart CHD Network workplan sits with the NTPN Network Director). 
•    Assist in the determination of policy and strategy of the One Heart CHD Network together with the One Heart CHD Network Clinical Director, Lead Nurse and Chair.  
•    Where applicable lead on the re-design of patient pathways in the specialties within the service line – with the overall to ensure optimal patient care, care closer to home and maximum utilisation of resources.
