Are you an experienced healthcare professional looking to take the next step in your career? We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to join our esteemed neuromuscular team at GOSH.
- As an ACP, you will receive comprehensive support to increase your knowledge base and upskill in all things neuromuscular.
Perform clinical patient reviews and management within your scope of practice. - Run independent clinics and manage patient pathways and care.
- Engage in teaching, non-medical prescribing, and research in relation to neuromuscular conditions.
- Maintain databases and provide both acute and long-term care for complex neuromuscular patients.
- Develop clinical protocols and care pathways.
- Contribute to evidence-based clinical practice through research, audit, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in delivering education both internally and externally.
- Engagement in both national and international initiatives.
- Provide advanced clinical care, including health assessments, treatment initiation, and monitoring of care programmes.
- Offer expert clinical leadership, advice, and support to ensure high-quality nursing and medical care.

- Registered with the NMC as an RN-Child or with HCPC or with GPhC
- Honours degree
- Master’s Degree in Advanced Clinical Practice (or evidence of demonstrable competence across all ACP domains)
- Assessing and mentoring qualification
- Attendance on a clinical leadership programme
- Evidence of ongoing, dynamic, CPD, with demonstrable clinical competencies, relevant to area of clinical practice
- Non-Medical Prescribing qualification or willingness to undertake

Experience/Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Relevant experience at a senior level in a relevant children’s healthcare environment
- Experience of taking charge of a department and of leading and managing teams
- Experience of working as an tACP
- Experience of undertaking and utilizing research and audit
- Evidence of working with children / young people and families to improve patient experience
- Experience of leading on developing practice, standards, clinical audit, benchmarking and clinical / quality improvement
- Experience of handling clinical incidents and complaints and implementation of subsequent learning
- Thorough knowledge relevant to the specialty/ department / field of practice
- Detailed understanding of change management, audit and research methodologies
- Knowledge of clinical governance and improvement agenda
