Job overview
We are looking for a motivated Senior Clinical Respiratory Physiologist to join our friendly team within the IQIPS accredited paediatric Lung Function Unit at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS

The unit is equipped with a suite of rooms dedicated to paediatric lung function testing; including spirometry, whole body plethysmography, CO gas transfer measurement, exhaled and nasal nitric oxide, multiple breath washout (MBW), respiratory muscle testing (MIP, MEP, SNIP), submaximal exercise, exercise challenge and hypoxic challenge tests.
We perform measurements on over 4000 children and young people per annum with a wide range of medical conditions including chronic lung disease, cystic fibrosis, asthma, neuromuscular disease, lung transplant, bone marrow transplant, and rheumatology patients. In addition to our routine clinical testing, we have an ongoing research programme.
The successful applicant will contribute to the day-to-day running of the laboratory, deputising in the absence of the Chief or Lead Physiologists and working closely with the multidisciplinary teams from respiratory and other specialities. A helpful, professional environment supplemented by regular meetings, MDT involvement, teaching sessions and the opportunity for course attendance will allow the candidate to develop paediatric skills in treating a wide range of patients.

9. To contribute to any research projects.
10. To perform and lead on complex lung function tests including Multiple Breath
Washout, exercise induced bronchoconstriction testing and Hypoxic challenge testing.
11. To maintain and document continuing professional development.
