The postholder will be responsible for the day-to-day administrative tasks and support of the medical staffing provision across Urgent Care services; this includes medical staff in all ED streams; both junior and GP grade, the Acute Care Unit including the take, unit cover, weekend discharge team, the escalation unit when required, and the Ambulatory Care unit.

Main duties of the job

  • Take the lead on temporary staffing recruitment for UEC.
  • Monitoring and recording sickness for substantive staff.
  • Managing the Greatix Process.
  • To ensure all current staff have an up-to-date DBS and Mandatory training. 
  • To communicate with staff, managers and external organisations in a professional and courteous manner therefore maintaining effective communication.
  • To develop and maintain effective communications and close partnerships with junior medical staff, Consultants, EMRS Management team, Medical Workforce.
  • To provide administrative support to the Clinical Lead, Consultants, Divisional Operations Manager and Service Manager relating to any administrative tasks of all Urgent Care areas.
  • Using own initiative to plan time effectively and prioritise all incoming work on a daily basis, including responding quickly, appropriately and communicating clearly in relation to urgent/important and unpredictable issues ensuring a high quality administrative service.
