Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity for either a newly qualified band 5 Dietitian, or an experienced Dietitian looking to gain excellent clinical dietetic experience in the acute hospital setting. This role has potential to rotate into the community team next April.

We are looking for a motivated Dietitian with excellent team working skills to join our innovative and proactive team.

You will have your own wards and caseload of patients providing a service to those requiring oral and enteral nutrition support with some complex cases with appropriate support provided by senior colleagues. There will be opportunities to upskill and develop as your work progresses within the Trust.

Homerton is a 300 bed hospital with surgical, medical and stroke wards for which the post holder will be able to gain experience and work within a dynamic MDT.  It is a fast paced environment and there is lots of support from the small friendly dietetic team.

Main duties of the job

You will work closely with the MDT on Acute wards. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills to liaise directly with consultants, nursing and pharmacy colleagues.

We are committed to work based education and training to enhance clinical skills and we actively encourage CPD and audit.
