Job overview
We are looking for an Assistant to join our expert and friendly Speech and Language Therapy team. Our SLTA is an integral part of the team, providing specialist communication and swallowing assessment and treatment to service users under guidance from the managing therapists. They work closely alongside the multidisciplinary therapy team to assist patients to achieve their goals.
The Regional Neurological Rehabilitation Unit is a neurorehabilitation service based in Homerton Hospital in Hackney. It is one of London's specialist level one services, providing for people with severe and complex brain injury from the region.
Main duties of the job
The SLTA works alongside the speech and language therapy team to provide skilled communication and swallowing assessment and treatment to people with acquired neurological injury. They also provide ongoing administrative support to the SLT team.

- Direct personal/professional experience of disability
- Computer literacy in Microsoft
- Good spoken and written English to assist communication work
