Job overview

Are you organised, proactive and digitally confident, and looking to make a real difference in Medical Education? We are looking for a Medical Education Coordinator to join our team. In this varied role, you will support a range of Medical Education programmes, including SAS Doctors, Locally Employed Doctors, International Medical Graduates and the Trust’s Medical Work Experience and Getting into Medicine initiatives. You’ll co‑ordinate teaching, induction and placement activities, act as a key point of contact for learners, and help ensure that everyone joining our hospitals has a positive and well‑supported experience.

This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys working with people, data and systems, and who brings a positive, can‑do attitude to a busy and fast‑moving environment. If you are highly organised, confident using digital tools, and able to work calmly and flexibly across different workstreams, we’d love to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

  • In this role, you will co‑ordinate a wide range of Medical Education activities, including teaching sessions, inductions, work experience placements and key programmes supporting SAS Doctors, LEDs and IMGs.
  • You will manage day‑to‑day communication with learners and educators, organise meetings and events, maintain accurate digital records and support the production of routine reports.
  • Working across multiple sites, you will play an important part in ensuring learners are welcomed, supported and able to make the most of their time at the Trust.
  • To succeed, you will need strong organisational skills, confidence with digital systems, excellent communication, attention to detail and a positive, can‑do attitude. 
  • You will also be comfortable working flexibly, managing competing priorities and collaborating with colleagues, clinicians, schools and external partners to deliver high‑quality education support.
