Are you a dedicated cardiology nurse looking to take your career to the next level? We are seeking a skilled and autonomous Specialist Nurse to join our team, focusing on the implantation and removal of Implantable Loop Recorders (ILRs) advanced cardiac monitoring devices that provide long-term, continuous rhythm monitoring to help diagnose unexplained arrhythmias.
You will develop and demonstrate comprehensive competencies to confidently perform ILR insertions and explants, supporting patients through their diagnostic journey. This role offers opportunities for professional growth, autonomy and involvement in cutting-edge cardiac research.

Main duties of the job
- The LinQ Specialist Nurse will be able to independently perform LinQ implants /explants.
- Providing individualised care to patients/clients and relatives/carers without supervision in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team in line with local and national targets.
- To be flexible in the approach to the clinical area and to provide cover for any area specified acting as professional role model providing direct and indirect clinical care, teaching and research.
- Provide education for patients and their families.

Essential criteria
- RGN registration
- ENB 254 or equivalent
- Working within the specialist nursing field sufficiently equalling experience of a band 7 nurse.
- GCP training/Qualification
- Advanced ECG skills ALS/ILS
Desirable criteria
- Clinical/physical assessment course
- Has attained a Degree or working towards one.
- Leadership qualification
Skills/Knowledge/ Abilities
Essential criteria
- Experience of managing patients with cardiac arrhythmias
- Experience of managing patients with cardiac conditions
- Ability to adapt to changing needs of service.
- Demonstrate the ability to compile complex written information
Desirable criteria
- Demonstrate commitment through involvement in Trust wide initiatives/ committees.
