Fellowship in Gastrointestinal Radiology.
Main site of activity: SMH, CXH, HH
The post will run for a fixed term of 12 months duration.
Background:
ICHNT offers tertiary level services in the management of digestive disease. This includes gastroenterology and hepatology, hepatobiliary surgery, oesophago-gastric cancer surgery, bariatric surgery, colorectal surgery (including complex and peritoneal surgery) and a cross-specialty pelvic floor service.
The gastrointestinal radiology team is comprised of 10 consultant radiologists covering a broad spectrum of imaging within the subspecialty. They work closely with colleagues in interventional radiology and other subspecialties to provide a comprehensive radiology service. The department hosts the largest radiology training scheme in London and includes several core and senior trainees in GI radiology at any one time. In addition to clinical and training provision there is an academic service led by a Professor of gastrointestinal imaging at Imperial College.
The department is an accredited site for the UK bowel cancer screening service, offering screening CT colonoscopy.
This fellowship aims to offer advanced training in all subspecialties and across all modalities of gastrointestinal imaging (CT/MR/US/Fluoroscopy).
Candidates will also have exposure to general radiology with tertiary level cases in all fields of radiology, including major trauma.
Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd
· GI reporting across all imaging modalities.
· Involvement in the various MDTs in GI imaging.
· On call working as part of our senior fellow rota (~1:6). This would be to support the first on junior radiology registrars. Services include tertiary level multi-modality imaging in hyperacute stroke and neurosurgery, vascular imaging (including for renal and pancreatic transplant assessment), Level 1 major trauma, and all areas of general radiology.
· Candidates will also have the opportunity to be involved with in house quality improvement/governance projects.
· Research opportunities are available in numerous areas of cutting edge clinical radiology.
Teaching opportunities are available through the Imperial radiology training scheme.

The purpose of this post is to provide further/advanced training to a subspecialised abdominal and GI radiologist.
Candidates will be expected to take part in supervised reporting of all modalities in imaging with a plan to progress to more independent working.
Candidates will be expected to take part in a number of subspecialised GI radiology MDTs.
Candidates will also have the opportunity to be involved with in house quality improvement/governance projects, GI radiology research and teaching sessions to trainees and radiographer colleagues.
