Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a fixed duration (6 months) full-time Locum Consultant Clinical Haematologist with a specialist interest in Lymphoma patients. The post will form part of the White Cell Haematology Service based on the Hammersmith site and is employed by Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust (ICHT).
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will support the inpatient and outpatient care of haematological malignancy patients within the White Cell service, and in particular those with lymphoma. The post holder is expected to have a specialist interest in this area, and experience in stem cell transplantation and CAR-T would be advantageous.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
This position is for an individual to work within the Lymphoma team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust Clinical Haematology service. The post will form part of the White Cell Haematology service, based on the Hammersmith site, and the post-holder is expected to manage and support the inpatient and outpatient care of patients with lymphoma, as well as forming part of the white cell attending and oncall service. Experience in stem cell transplantation and CAR-T would be advantageous. This post is planned for 6 months and will be working on an on call of 1:5 category B.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Full and specialist registration (and a licence to practise) with the General Medical Council (GMC) (or eligible for registration within six months of interview)
- Applicants that are UK trained, must ALSO be a holder of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), or be within six months of award of CCT by date of interview.
- Applicants that are non-UK trained, will be required to show evidence of equivalence to the UK CCT
- MRCP AND FRCPath or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
Essential criteria
- Specialist training in clinical haematology
- Experience in the management of patients with inherited and acquired bleeding tendency and thrombosis
- IT skills and computer literacy
- Experience in cancer-VTE management
Leadership/ Management skills
Essential criteria
- Able to take responsibility, show leadership, make decisions, exert appropriate authority
- Have proven skills in leading, motivating, developing, and managing the performance of colleagues.
- Knowledge of finance/budgets
- Management of staff
Teaching & Training
Essential criteria
- Experience of teaching and training undergraduates/postgraduates and junior medical staff
Audit
Essential criteria
- Understanding of principles of clinical audit
Language
Essential criteria
- Are able to speak and write English to the appropriate standard necessary to fulfil the job requirements
Academic achievements
Essential criteria
- Evidence of achievement appropriate to appointment at consultant level at ICHT
- Research track record as specified under Research, Teaching and Training
