Job overview

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Radiotherapy Electronics Engineer to participate in delivering a high quality maintenance & repair service to our Radiotherapy Service.  This is an opportunity to join a team of highly experienced engineers.  You will be educated to B.Sc. degree level or equivalent in electronics and electrical engineering, with minimum 10 years of experience in the field of radiotherapy, working with linear accelerators (linacs).

The department boasts fully equipped electronics and mechanical workshops to enable on site repairs.

The Radiation Physics Department provides a full range of complex radiotherapy scientific and technical services at Charing Cross Hospital (CHX) and Hammersmith Hospital (HH).  The major clinical equipment on the CHX site currently includes four Varian TB linacs, two of which are being replaced with two Accuray Radiaxcts, a Siemens CT unit and an X-Strahl kV unit. There is an additional Varian TB and a Flexitron HDR brachytherapy unit at the HH.

Suitable applicants with less experience may be considered for appointment at a lower band.
